Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Head of Design to lead the design and planning of warehouse construction projects . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial architecture, structural engineering, and project execution . This role involves conceptualizing designs, ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing layouts for efficiency, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design & Planning: Lead the design and development of warehouse facilities, ensuring functionality, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency . Create and review architectural, structural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) designs . Optimize layouts for maximum storage capacity, material handling efficiency, and workflow optimization . Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability standards . 2. Project Execution & Coordination: Work closely with architects, structural engineers, MEP consultants, and contractors to ensure design feasibility. Collaborate with the project management team to ensure designs are implemented as planned. Provide technical guidance during construction to address design-related challenges . 3. Innovation & Sustainability: Integrate modern warehouse automation technologies into design concepts. Implement sustainable and energy-efficient design practices to reduce operational costs. Research and adopt best practices in warehouse infrastructure development . 4. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Manage a team of designers, drafters, and consultants to deliver high-quality design solutions. Liaise with clients, government authorities, and internal teams to ensure smooth project approvals. Present design concepts and progress reports to senior management and clients. Key Requirements: Education: Bachelors or Master’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Structural Engineering . Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in warehouse, logistics park, or industrial infrastructure design . Technical Skills: Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, STAAD Pro, BIM (Building Information Modeling) . Strong understanding of warehouse design principles, structural analysis, and material selection . Knowledge of fire safety norms, green building codes, and local regulatory frameworks . Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in designing large-scale logistics parks, distribution centers, or cold storage facilities . Certifications in Green Building Design (LEED, IGBC, or equivalent) .
