The Hare Krishna Movement, formally known as the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), is a Gaudiya Vaishnavism Hindu religious organization founded in the United States in 1966. Its mission is to promote the practice of bhakti-yoga, the devotional service to Krishna, through various forms of spiritual practice, namely chanting, temple worship, and education.
