Education: BE / B. Tech in EE/Electronics & Communication Experience: 15+ yrs in Hardware design and development including 5+ yrs leading multi-disciplinary teams Reporting To: VP-Technical Department: Technical Detailed Responsibilities: Leading a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Electronics, Electrical and Mechanical engineers All electronic hardware design and development (analog, digital and high-speed digital which includes high performance microcontrollers, microprocessors, CPLDs and FPGAs) The design and development (D&D) process is interactive and includes: Obtaining Customer requirements from Business Development team Interactions with Customers for technical inputs. Inputs from software and embedded software teams Inputs from mechanical design team. Familiarity with Electronics Design and Simulation Tools like Allegro, PSpice, ModelSim Following the D&D process which must include the following activities: Interaction with Embedded Software team for selection of microcontroller, microprocessor and key programmable IOs with necessary artifacts Preparation of system architecture Schematic Design Reviews with necessary artifacts PCB design reviews with necessary artifacts Interaction with Purchase for component selection (for availability, price and End of Life status) with necessary artifacts All product support which includes: Facilitating the resolution of software issues with the involvement of Software and Embedded Software teams during internal testing and Installation & Commissioning (I&C) Resolution of Integration issues along with Production and Quality teams Resolving all hardware related technical issues during I&C Root cause analysis for internal/external failures Design and Development Planning Organising Design Review Meeting and documentation Maintenance of all hardware design equipment and tools Identifying training needs of personnel reporting to him Implementation of corrective and preventive actions in his area Internal Audit as per ISO requirements Show more Show less
