Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain complex stored procedures, functions, views , and business logic using T-SQL. Ensure data security through proper user roles, permissions, encryption techniques, and secure development practices. Document database designs, stored procedures, and troubleshooting steps in a clear and standardized format. Stay current with the latest SQL Server features and best practices, recommending adoption where relevant. Develop and maintain error and event handling mechanisms, including precedence constraints, breakpoints, checkpoints, and logging. Experience working with data archival , job scheduling, and integration with legacy systems. Required Qualifications: Minimum 7 years of experience as a SQL Server Developer. Expert-level knowledge of T-SQL programming , stored procedures, and performance optimization. Strong understanding of SQL Server internals , including indexing strategies, transaction management, and execution plans. Proficient in performance analysis and tuning using Profiler, Execution Plans, Extended Events, and DMVs . Solid grasp of database security principles, including access control and encryption. Proven experience working with large and complex T-SQL codebases . Ability to write logical, efficient, and scalable SQL code . Comfortable working independently as well as part of cross-functional teams. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Experience working with Azure SQL Database or other cloud-based deployments. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CI/CD pipelines for managing database deployments. Familiarity with version control systems for database code (e.g., Git, Redgate SQL Source Control). Domain experience in healthcare or workforce management platforms is a plus.
