This role involves providing on-site installation, commissioning, maintenance, and technical support for Honeywell's advanced tank gauging solutions in industries such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, and chemicals. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on expert responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of Honeywell's tank gauging instrumentation. Key responsibilities will include overseeing the complete lifecycle of the equipment, from installation and commissioning to preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of issues. The engineer will be tasked with conducting functional checks, calibration, and validation of measurement systems to ensure accuracy and adherence to industry standards. A deep understanding of tank gauging principles and technologies, including radar-based and servo-driven systems, is essential for this role. The service engineer will work closely with service manager, engineering teams. A significant part of the role will involve providing technical support and training to customers on the proper operation and maintenance of the systems, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. This position requires a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, capable of working independently in demanding environments such as refineries and chemical plants. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective customer interaction and for identifying potential sales opportunities. The role will involve travel within the West India region to customer sites. Candidates should ideally possess a diploma or degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering, coupled with relevant experience in a similar field service role. Prior experience with Honeywell Enraf tank gauging systems or similar instrumentation is highly valued.
