We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled All-Rounder Chef to become the culinary heartbeat of our restaurant. Culinary Excellence & Menu Innovation: Prepare and oversee all meals, demonstrating versatility from breakfast/brunch service to lunch, dinner, and special events. Research, develop, and execute a range of cuisines with a strong ability in modern fusion dishes . Conceptualize, test, and launch a Signature Dish that defines our restaurant's identity. Design and lead immersive Chef's Table experiences, showcasing skill and storytelling. Ensure consistent high-quality presentation, flavor, and portioning across all dishes. 2. Kitchen & Restaurant Leadership: Take over the daily operations of the kitchen, acting as the de facto leader in the absence of the head chef/owner. Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive, productive, and respectful environment. Uphold and enforce strict food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards (HACCP). 3. Inventory & Cost Management: Manage end-to-end inventory control – from ordering and receiving to stock rotation and waste reduction. Conduct regular inventory audits and maintain accurate pars. Source high-quality ingredients from reliable suppliers and negotiate costs effectively. Develop cost-effective menus, control food cost percentages, and contribute to overall kitchen profitability. 4. Operational Support: Assist in menu pricing and development based on seasonality, cost, and trends. Maintain kitchen equipment and coordinate repairs. Collaborate with front-of-house management to ensure seamless service. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience (min. 5-7 years) in varied kitchen roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory position. Must be an all-rounder: Demonstrable skill across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and pastry/bakery is a must. Exceptional creativity with a portfolio or examples of fusion cuisine and signature dishes you have created. Direct experience planning and executing Chef's Table or tasting menu events. Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and cost control procedures. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
