Person who has sound production management experience with working in lean organization. What You Will Do: The Production Manager is overall responsible for: Production output of sheet metal fabrication, assembly, painting of products Adept in coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to production schedule. Proficient in reviewing and distributing production, work schedules; conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates; and compiling reports on progress of work in terms of quantity and time, production problems. Driving initiatives to meet aggressive product development objectives and well versed with lean product development techniques. Leading a team of engineers & blue collars — welders, fitters, painters ( 100-200 ) to achieve targets in terms of Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost Plan details of production activities for shop floor and would be responsible for On time production, Productivity (MOST), FPY ( First Pass Yield ), Hourly rate etc. On time recruitment of people with close coordination with HR and monitor competency/ skill matrix and development plan of team Operational Excellence initiatives & spearheading the Continuous Improvements journey at shop floor like ss, Kaizen, line balancing, An understanding f financial management with abilities to understand, Hourly rate, productivity, capex management Responsible for manufacturing budget preparation and control of it Leading of problem analysis by applying relevant statistical tool like 81), Go Gemba, pareto, etc. Regular KPI monitoring & actions to improve and reporting to management Leading shopfloor HSE improvement initiatives like HIRA, Near miss closure, Analysis of incident / accident & actions for improvement Expertise in driving improvement projects Expertise in implementing cost saving measures & optimized resource utilization. Self Driven, Result oriented, Innovative approach, Flexible for change etc. Sound knowledge of inventory & capex management Job Skills: Skills Required: Should have experience of managing the following areas: Manufacturing Processes: Sheet Metal Fabrication / Heavy fabrication Assembly Operations Excellence : Lean manufacturing / Single piece flow production 5-S, Kaizens, TPM, six sigma, PFMEA, Planning & Organizing Line Balancing Man power & other resource calculation Scheduling Communication Local language knowledge : Gujarati/ Hindi Should be able to articulate and negotiate consensus with his team members for efficient operations. Should be a strong team player with good communication skills. Analytical skills 7 QC tools / QRQC knowledge Drawing reading Who we are looking for: A candidate with Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical or Production with 12-16 years of experience and 3 years in managerial role. Should have experience in managing operations of Sheet Metal / Heavy Fabrication and assembly SAP/ERP environment working knowledge will be added value.
