About the Great Indian Hackathon (GIH) The Great Indian Hackathon (GIH) 2025 is recognized as India's most beginner-friendly hackathon, built on the motto: We teach coding before you hack. We provide a unique platform for aspiring developers to learn, innovate, and build. We are now scaling our operations to reach a global audience and are seeking highly motivated interns to drive our international student registration campaign. Role Overview As a Global Outreach Intern, you will be a key player in our international growth strategy. This is a dynamic, fully remote internship where you will leverage your digital marketing and networking skills to promote the Great Indian Hackathon and drive registrations from students worldwide. This is not a traditional campus ambassador role; you are a core part of the marketing team, with a global territory. This role is ideal for a self-starter who is passionate about technology and marketing, and wants to earn significant rewards based on their performance. Key Responsibilities Global Promotion: Strategize and execute digital marketing campaigns to promote GIH 2025 to college students and tech communities across the world. Drive Registrations: Proactively identify and engage with potential participants through online forums (like Reddit, Discord), social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram), and other digital channels to secure registrations using your unique referral code. Digital Outreach Campaign: Systematically post and share information about the hackathon on a minimum of 50 different relevant websites, student portals, tech blogs, and online communities to qualify for milestone rewards. Reporting: Track your registration metrics and report on effective channels and market feedback. Compensation and Incentives This is a performance-based internship with unlimited earning potential. Commission: Earn a 5% commission on the fee for every successful registration you secure. Quick-Start Bonus: Secure your first 5 registrations to receive a branded pair of earphones. Milestone Reward: Achieve 50 successful registrations AND complete 50 promotional posts on different websites to earn a ?10,000 cash reward plus exclusive Hackathon swags. Recurring Milestones: This reward is not a one-time bonus. The milestone (?10,000 + Swags) resets and repeats for every 50 new registrations and 50 new posts you complete. Ideal Candidate Highly self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented. Excellent written communication and digital networking skills. A savvy user of social media and online communities (e.g., Reddit, Discord, LinkedIn, forums). Able to work independently and manage your time effectively.
