Graphic Artist / Artwork Designer (Adobe Illustrator)

About RSD Hi-Tech Industrial (Mumbai) Pvt. Ltd.
RSD Hi-Tech Industrial is the Indian arm of RSD Technik GmbH, a German manufacturer of cable marking and printing systems used by wire and cable manufacturers worldwide. Every cable we help print carries a legend – voltage, standard, type reference, conductor size – that must be exactly right. The artwork behind that print is where it starts.

The role
We are hiring an Artwork Designer to prepare, check and finalise print artwork for our customers’ cable marking. You will take customer inquiries (text, logos, specifications) and turn them into production-ready vector artwork, then proof every detail before it is released for manufacturing. Accuracy matters more than creativity here: a single wrong character on a cable legend means a rejected job.

What you will do

• Create and edit vector artwork (text legends, logos, symbols) in Adobe Illustrator to customer specifications
• Prepare print-ready PDFs and check them in Adobe Acrobat (outlines, dimensions, character heights, repeat lengths)
• Proofread artwork line by line against the customer’s written inquiry – wording, units (mm², °C), standards (e.g. H07V-R, H07Z-K), sizes
• Coordinate with our sales team in Mumbai and the technical team in Germany on corrections and approvals
• Maintain an organised archive of artwork files, revisions and approvals
• Meet turnaround deadlines on multiple jobs running in parallel

What we are looking for

• 2–5 years’ experience in an artwork, prepress, printing, packaging, label or similar graphics company
• Strong hands-on skills in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat (must have)
• Adobe InDesign and Photoshop knowledge is a plus, not a must
• Meticulous attention to detail; comfortable checking technical text, numbers and symbols
• Good written English for reading specifications and writing clear emails
• Diploma or degree in graphic design, printing technology or a related field preferred
• Based in or willing to commute to Malad / Naigaon

What we offer

• Permanent, full-time role in a stable German-owned company
• Specialised, technical niche with long-term growth in the cable industry
• Direct exposure to international customers and a German engineering team
• Salary in line with experience

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month

Benefits:

• Paid sick time
• Paid time off

Work Location: In person
