Founding Backend Engineer (SDE II / SDE III) Location: Bengaluru (on-site) Experience: 3–6 years Type: Full-time Immediate Joiners Only About the Role We’re looking for a strong backend engineer to help build a new product from the ground up. This is a hands-on role where you will work directly with the founding team, take ownership of backend systems, and contribute to architecture, design, and execution. We need someone who can think clearly, build reliably, and take responsibility for technical decisions — not just write code. Responsibilities Develop backend services using Node.js , preferably NestJS Own backend architecture and system design for core modules Build and maintain RESTful APIs , internal services, and integrations Work with PostgreSQL / MongoDB / Firebase for schema design, optimization, and migrations Implement caching, data flow, performance tuning, and service-level optimisation Ensure backend systems follow best practices in security, error handling, and code quality Collaborate with frontend/mobile engineers for smooth integration Take part in deployment, CI/CD, and early DevOps work Translate product requirements into clear, executable technical tasks Requirements 3–6 years of hands-on backend engineering experience Strong proficiency in TypeScript , Node.js , and NestJS Strong understanding of system design , including: API architecture Database modelling Scalability and load handling Caching strategies Service modularity Experience with PostgreSQL or MongoDB Familiar with Redis, queues, or event-driven components Practical understanding of AWS/GCP and CI/CD pipelines Clear communication skills and ability to work in a small, focused team A builder mindset: ownership, clarity, and strong technical reasoning Nice to Have Experience with distributed systems or microservices Firebase experience (auth, storage, notifications) Redis, Kafka, or similar queue systems Prior early-stage startup or 0→1 experience Interest in product-building and consumer tech Bachelor's degree (B.Tech) preferred NestJS preferred What You’ll Get Ownership of backend modules end-to-end Ability to influence architecture, development direction, and engineering practices Close collaboration with a small founding team Opportunity to work on a new product from idea to implementation Competitive compensation Share your CV with Current CTC : Expected CTC : Notice Period : Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month Application Question(s): What is your notice period in your current company?
