Preferred candidate profile Experience of minimum 2-5 years in the field in a Manufacturing Industry. Strong knowledge and experience in Crafting negotiation strategies and closing deals with optimal terms Strong knowledge of supply chain management. Experience in developing and executing effective inventory management policies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Both Tamil & English and Hindi-added benefit). Role & responsibilities Responsible for sourcing equipment, goods and services and managing vendors and strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spend, search for better deals and find more profitable suppliers. Developing, leading and executing purchasing strategies Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness. Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power. Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking. Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers. Determine quantity and timing of deliveries. Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand. Maintain records of goods ordered and received. Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them in order to determine product availability and terms of sales. Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment. Control purchasing department budgets. Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy. Analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability. Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers. Represent companies in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers. Review, evaluate, and approve specifications for issuing and awarding bids. Prepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs. Administer on-line purchasing systems. Arrange for disposal of surplus materials. Documenting/Recording Information.
