Role & responsibilities Technician will be responsible for the proper installation of Geologs mobile laboratory / mud logging unit on oil rigs onshore / offshore and for maintenance of the equipment. Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but not limited, to: Mud logging unit installation and equipment maintenance: To install, test, maintain, repair damaged equipment, to refurbish and control equipment returning to the base from the field. Field support: To regularly contact field operations for support and assistance, to train crew members on equipment maintenance, to give field equipment support and to perform equipment installation on oil rigs when required. Store: inventory and warehouse organization, monitoring the level of spares and consumables. Technical Documentation: to ensure the technical and Health& Safety documentation is complete and updated in the mobile laboratories in the field. Preferred candidate profile Requirements: Qualifiaction: Diploma / Engineering degree in Electrical / Instrumentation. Minimum of 12 months experience in a technical role in mud logging company. Highly organized with ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks and projects. Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work alone on projects as well as within a group / team. Fluent in English both oral and written. Work Location will be on Rig Site and Office Introductory trainings on GEOLOG working procedures and equipment will be provided on joining the Company. Role & responsibilities The Mud Logger monitors the rig operations, describe geological samples, and analyses data from sensors etc. Responsibilities include: Real time monitoring of drilling activity onsite, sample collection, preparation and description. Contributing to maintain a safe working environment on the rig, by interpreting the data, and giving feedback to the Data Engineer; drilling team and client representative. Onsite technical support in case of equipment failure. Having a proactive attitude towards health and safety on the job (using the tools onsite to predict potentially dangerous situations, such as kicks or the detection of gas) Assisting the well site geologist during coring operations Preferred candidate profile Requirements : A University degree in Geology / Petroleum Engineering or related discipline. Minimum of 12 months experience as Mud Logger. Willingness to work both onshore as well as offshore rigs. Ability to cope with the challenging work environment of the oil industry, and willing to work on rotations. Fluent in English both oral and written.
