Mentors will support interns by offering daily interaction, career clarity, and skill-building guidance. The aim is to bridge the gap between aspirations and opportunities, helping students gain the confidence, exposure, and capabilities required for real-world success. This role provides professionals the chance to build coaching skills, leadership qualities, and gain formal mentoring experience along with certification benefits. Key Responsibilities Connect with assigned students at least 2 hours daily to support academic-to-career readiness Provide career guidance, resume improvements, interview preparation, and industry expectations Help mentees build communication, teamwork, and professional etiquette Guide students in identifying interests, strengths, and relevant learning goals Introduce mentees to helpful networks, communities, and learning resources Track progress and report engagement to mentorship coordinators Foster self-belief, motivation, and role-model behavior among mentees Encourage responsible use of digital learning platforms and workplace values Skills & Competencies Required Soft Skills (Mandatory) Excellent verbal and written communication Empathy, patience, and active listening Confidence-building and motivational abilities Collaboration & professional etiquette Ability to simplify concepts for better understanding Time management & session consistency Technical / Domain Skills (Based on Mentor Profile) Must be proficient and experienced in the skills you mentor students on Examples: IT / Software: Python, Java, Web Development, Data Analysis, AI/ML, Cloud basics Design: UI/UX fundamentals, Canva, Figma, Adobe tools Mentors will only be assigned mentees aligned to their proven skill areas.
