Verisk India – GenAI / Agentic AI Team Overview

The team is looking for a strong software engineer with extensive Python development experience and hands-on exposure to GenAI and Agentic AI.

This should not be a traditional:

• Data Analyst
• Hadoop specialist
• Big Data-focused candidate
• Prompt-only AI professional

The ideal background could include:

• Python Developer
• Backend Engineer
• Full-Stack Developer with strong backend experience
• Data Engineer with advanced software-development capabilities
• .NET or Java Developer who has developed strong Python expertise

The individual must be capable of writing production-quality code and integrating AI capabilities into existing enterprise applications.

Core Technical Requirements

Python / Backend Development

Strong hands-on experience with:

• Python
• FastAPI
• Django or Flask
• RESTful API development
• Backend services
• Lambda functions
• Batch-processing functions
• Business-logic development
• Unit testing
• Debugging and troubleshooting

FastAPI experience is particularly valuable.

GenAI / Agentic AI

Candidates should understand how to design, develop and deploy Agentic AI solutions.

Relevant technologies may include:

• AWS Strands Agents
• LangGraph
• LangChain
• Hugging Face
• AutoGen
• CrewAI
• Comparable Agentic AI frameworks

AWS Strands and LangGraph would be especially valuable, although AWS Strands is still relatively new in the market.

Model Context Protocol (MCP)

Strong knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an important requirement.

The team wants the core enterprise application and the AI assistant, RAG solution or agentic chatbot to remain decoupled, with MCP supporting communication and integration between these components.

Candidates should understand:

• MCP architecture
• MCP servers and clients
• Tool integration
• Secure communication between applications and AI agents
• Decoupling AI services from core business applications

AWS Environment

The majority of the organization’s applications are deployed in AWS.

Candidates should have practical experience with technologies such as:

• Amazon Bedrock
• AWS Lambda
• Amazon ECS
• Amazon EKS
• AWS Step Functions
• Amazon OpenSearch
• Amazon DynamoDB
• AWS container services
• AWS production and deployment environments

Exposure to AWS AgentCore and AWS Transform would be beneficial.

The team primarily uses models available through Amazon Bedrock rather than relying exclusively on externally hosted public models.

Databases & Search Technologies

Candidates should be comfortable working with both relational and non-relational databases, including:

• PostgreSQL
• DynamoDB
• OpenSearch
• Elasticsearch

They should be able to:

• Write queries
• Develop triggers
• Integrate databases with backend applications
• Troubleshoot data-related issues

Existing Application Environment

Many of Verisk’s existing enterprise applications are built using:

• .NET / C#
• Java
• API-based architectures
• Angular front ends

Candidates do not need to be experts in every technology, but experience integrating Python and AI capabilities with .NET or Java applications would be valuable.

Deployment & DevOps

Candidates must have experience taking solutions beyond a sandbox or proof-of-concept environment and deploying them into production.

Desired experience includes:

• Containerization
• Production deployment of AI agents
• CI/CD pipelines
• Bamboo
• Automated testing
• Source-control management
• Release management
• Production monitoring
• Scrum / Agile delivery environments

The team typically works in two-week Scrum sprints.

AI-Assisted Development Tools

The development environment may include:

• GitHub Copilot
• Cursor
• Claude Code
• Visual Studio Code
• Other approved AI-assisted engineering tools

Experience with specification-driven development or similar structured AI-assisted development practices would also be beneficial.

Pay: ₹2,500,000.00 - ₹3,000,000.00 per year
