You should be located in Chennai and comfortable with working from the office. You must be available to start immediately and open to face-to-face meetings in Chennai. As a Snowflake Developer, you are required to have 3 to 10 years of experience. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is essential. You should have at least 3 years of practical experience in Snowflake development, particularly in cloud data warehousing and analytics environments. Your proficiency should include an advanced understanding of SQL, ability to write complex queries, and experience in performance tuning. You should be skilled in data modeling, database architecture, and data warehousing concepts, including star/snowflake schema. Experience with ETL tools like Apache NiFi, Talend, or Informatica, as well as building data pipelines, is necessary. Proficiency in programming/scripting with Python or JavaScript for automation is required. A solid understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and integrating Snowflake with cloud storage solutions like S3 or Azure Blob is expected. Knowledge of version control tools like Git and collaboration platforms is essential. Experience integrating Snowflake with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is highly beneficial. You should possess strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative data team is crucial. Nice to have skills include experience with Hadoop, Spark, or big data analytics tools. Familiarity with data governance, data quality frameworks, and compliance requirements is a plus. Exposure to data science, ML workflows, and preparing data for analytics is advantageous.
