Company Description G B Consulting is seeking a detail-oriented and technically sound Structural Draftsman to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of experience in preparing structural drawings using AutoCAD , with a diploma in civil engineering and a strong understanding of the behavior of structural members in RCC structures. As part of a structural consultancy handling residential, commercial, and high-rise projects , you will play a crucial role in producing accurate and clear construction drawings that align with engineering designs and site requirements. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed structural drawings for RCC elements such as slabs, beams, columns, footings, staircases, retaining walls, etc. Work closely with engineers to develop and update Good-for-Construction (GFC) drawings. Understand and interpret structural design intent, sections, and reinforcement details accurately. Modify and revise drawings based on engineer mark-ups and site changes. Maintain drawing documentation and adhere to drawing standards and layering conventions. Organize drawings and coordinate revisions across multiple project phases. Assist with basic quantity take-offs and Excel-based schedules if needed. Communicate effectively with engineering and site teams for technical clarity. Skills & Requirements Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting of structural elements) — minimum 1 year of hands-on experience. Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word for documentation and BOQs. Familiarity with MS PowerPoint is a plus. Clear understanding of structural member behaviour (slab span direction, load paths, etc.). Good attention to detail and drafting clarity. Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings. Should be able to manage multiple drawing sets and maintain version control. Good communication and teamwork skills.
