Rationalizations of parts by fit, forms, and function. JOB CONTENT: Enrich and maintain product metadata for electronic components, including attributes like electrical parameters, packaging, temperature ratings, and RoHS compliance. Familiarity with passives (RLC), discretes (diodes, BJTs, MOSFETs), ICs (analog, digital, mixed-signal), and semiconductors. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Sound knowledge of electronic manufacturers and part numbers. Basic knowledge of RoHS. Experience in writing Technical product overviews, notes etc. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications like Excel for data manipulation, creating formulas and knowledge of shortcuts, and Access for database management. JOB PURPOSE: The Component Analyst’s responsibility is to take the Bill of Material (BOM) from our customers and manipulate to fit into our in-house quoting system, to facilitate the quoting process, and to extract this data from our system after quoting is complete back into the customers file using Excel. The Component Analyst will also be required to provide analysis and reporting using in house software and Microsoft office suites. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: The Component Analyst will also be required to provide analysis and reporting using in house software and Microsoft office suites. JOB CONTENT: RFQ/file extraction for customer’s on-line quote system With Program Management, review RFQs received from customers (on-line, excel, pdf) to develop the most effective process to prepare file for quoting Prepare raw Bill of Materials (BOM) Analysis (when deemed necessary) to assist Program Management with quote upload strategy. (Incumbent vs incremental vs new) Manipulate raw bill of materials to prepare for upload, and conversion back into the customer’s format. Follow SOPs for uploading a quote, to ensure all relevant lines are captured for upload. Quote manipulation to provide summaries as required including: Pre-BOM analysis; Sorting/extractions (by Manufacturer / Business Unit / Region / Site etc), Subtotals Merge files Identify and communicate any missing/incomplete quote data resulting in potential problems in the upload/download of the data; and suggest solutions. Provide executive summaries/extractions / award validations / feedback Prepare supplementary analysis as requested to assist Program Management in data integrity, quote positioning, feedback and post mortem: Executive Summaries Validations Awards/ Feedback files Reporting Calculate and prepare cut in dates for customer copies Prepare preliminary Quote Managers for Program Management/Marketing review (i.e. Passives/National). RECOMMENDED CREDENTIALS: QUALIFICATIONS A Diploma or Degree in Electronics and Communication or equivalent in a relevant field of study. EXPERIENCES 1 year of relevant working experience will be highly advantageous for this position but not a must. Candidates without experience are welcome to apply.
