Role Overview The Junior Operations Executive will be responsible for managing day-to-day floor operations at the ripening and dispatch facility during assigned shifts (day or night). The role demands strong on-ground supervision, familiarity with the banana ripening process, and hands-on coordination with labor, logistics, and quality teams. You will work closely with the Operations Manager and the other shift lead to ensure seamless 24×7 operations, maintaining Fresh Platter’s standards for efficiency, safety, and product quality. Key Responsibilities 1. Ripening Operations Manage the banana ripening process for assigned chambers, including loading, dosing, temperature, humidity, and ventilation cycles. Monitor ripening stages (pre-cool, dosing, venting, and post-ripe storage) and ensure accurate process execution as per standard operating procedures (SOPs). Maintain chamber-wise logs for temperature, humidity, ethylene concentration, and ripening duration. Coordinate with maintenance staff for timely calibration and upkeep of sensors and equipment. 2. Floor & Warehouse Management Oversee material movement during your shift — incoming fruits, ripened stock, crates, and dispatch-ready lots. Ensure proper segregation of lots, FIFO compliance, and accurate bin/crate tagging using Trace360 or similar systems. Supervise loading and unloading activities; ensure efficient labor deployment and adherence to safety standards. Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and hygiene across the floor and ripening zones. 3. Quality & Process Control Inspect fruit quality at key stages — before ripening, post-ripening, and before dispatch. Flag any deviation in color, temperature, or ripening outcome to the Operations Manager immediately. Coordinate with the Quality and Procurement teams for issue resolution and batch traceability. 4. Reporting & Coordination Submit shift-wise reports on ripening status, stock movement, crate counts, and any process deviations. Coordinate handovers between day and night shifts to ensure zero operational disruption. Work closely with Ayaz and Abhishek to maintain consistency across shifts and follow management instructions precisely. 5. Compliance & Safety Follow all hygiene, safety, and operational protocols during handling and storage. Ensure ripening chambers are operated as per Fresh Platter standards and legal norms. Qualifications Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Food Technology, or Operations preferred 2–4 years of experience in fruit ripening or cold chain operations (preferably banana or other climacteric fruits) Working knowledge of ethylene dosing systems, chamber controls, and fruit handling Computer proficiency (Mainly Excel) Ability to work flexible hours, including night shifts Personal Attributes Strong sense of responsibility and discipline – should take “ownership” Keen observation and attention to detail Good communication and coordination skills Hands-on, problem-solving attitude with readiness to work in dynamic conditions Compensation Competitive salary with performance-based incentives
