Provide anaesthesia for elective and emergency surgical procedures, including general, regional, and local anaesthesia. Assess and evaluate patients pre-operatively, including risk assessments and anaesthesia planning. Monitor and manage patients during surgery, ensuring safe administration of anaesthetic agents and fluids. Provide post-operative care including pain management and recovery support in PACU (Post Anaesthesia Care Unit). Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and other clinicians. Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols, guidelines, and quality improvement initiatives. Supervise and mentor junior anaesthetic staff, registrars, and trainees. Take part in on-call and emergency anaesthesia rotas as required. Maintain up-to-date patient records, documentation, and compliance with regulatory standards. Participate in audits, morbidity and mortality reviews, continuing professional development (CPD), and research activities where applicable.
