We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Manager, Sales and Business Development, to join our Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) team at Fluence India. This role will focus on fostering relationships, leading BESS procurements, building strategic partnerships, and expanding our presence in India s energy storage sector. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the ideal candidate will bring agility, commercial acumen, and a strong drive to succeed in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Market Development & Strategy: Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities for energy storage. Create customer-specific business cases and quantify Fluence Indias unique value for diverse segments. Market Insights & Feedback: Provide insights on market trends, technology, pricing, product development, and financial products, supporting our strategic positioning. Collaborative Efforts: Work closely with global teams, including Sales, Product, Services, Project Delivery, and Customer Success, to meet Fluence India s sales and service goals. Customer Education & Enablement: Educate clients on the benefits of energy storage and guide them through the sales pipeline. Strategic Partnerships: Develop and sustain relationships with utilities, regulators, government officials, and industry stakeholders to support market growth. Proposal Preparation & Contract Management: Draft compelling proposals and negotiate key terms. Lead contract negotiations for supply, commissioning, and operational services. Event Representation: Represent Fluence India at industry events, networking to raise our profile and forge valuable partnerships. Sales Performance Tracking & Reporting: Monitor metrics to assess and enhance sales performance, providing regular insights to management. Policy & Regulation Awareness: Stay updated on industry policies and incentives, integrating this knowledge into business strategies. Qualifications Experience: 10+ years in renewable energy and/or battery storage sectors, with 10-15 years of overall experience. Education: Bachelor s in Engineering or related field; an MBA is advantageous. Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Commercial acumen with a track record in business development and sales conversions. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with BESS technology, tenders, and renewable power integration. Competencies: Self-motivated, adaptable, collaborative, and comfortable in a start-up environment. Able to manage multiple tasks with an entrepreneurial spirit. Travel: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required. Communication: Proficient in English with strong interpersonal skills.

Define, develop, and execute testing protocols based on industry-accepted practices market rules, local utility requirements, off-taker and third-party supply contracts. Qualifications Bachelor s degree in a related engineering field with 10-12 years of professional work experience in a related field in Power Sector like Coal, Gas, Hydro, Oil & Gas. Willing and able to manage commissioning at field locations located domestically as per requirement in Pan- India. Must be willing to accept work assignments that require extensive hours including weekends and holidays. Able to provide effective remote technical support as needed to other commissioning teams in future Demonstrated hands-on field experience in an electric utility-scale or process-heavy industrial environment, including but not limited to equipment and instrumentation acceptance testing, performance testing, troubleshooting, installation, startup/shutdowns, commissioning, and turnarounds. Proven success on challenging projects where you made key contributions while demonstrating ownership, creativity, and initiative. Demonstrated ability and interest in engineering design; ability to write specifications and work plans for others to implement. Passion for your work, and communication skills such that your passion motivates colleagues, clients, suppliers, and contractors. Able to manage multiple overlapping projects. Manage and resolve scheduling conflicts with key stakeholders. Delegate and manage workload of the site commissioning team. Proven capability in managing contractors and working in a matrix organization on fast-moving projects. Experience: Experience managing teams of technicians in the electric power industry, or similar field. Knowledge and experience in installation, operation, testing and commissioning of switchgears, protective relays , Battery systems and grid-tie inverters. Able to read and interpret electrical drawings. Knowledgeable in operation of testing equipment. Knowledge and experience with SCADA protocols such as: IEC60870-5-101/103/104, IEC 61850 MMS, DNP3 & Modbus. Working knowledge on PLC (Siemens S7 & Allen Bradley ControlLogix PLC), soft logic IEC 61131, SEL Relays & Meters, Siemens Relays & Meters & SCADA Gateways & Data Concentrators. Experience with Managed Ethernet Switches, Media Converters (Fiber & Serial). Knowledge of the design, operation and maintenance of high voltage electrical equipment including but not limited to inverters, transformers, controllers.
