Duties and Responsibilities - Oversee the capitalization, depreciation, and disposal of fixed assets, ensuring compliance with IFRS, Industry standards and company policies. Maintain the Fixed Asset Register (FAR), reconciling it with the General Ledger. Manage the capitalization of labor costs, ensuring proper allocation of direct and indirect labor expenses to fixed assets in compliance with accounting standards. Conduct capital expenditure (CAPEX) analysis, ensuring proper tracking and allocation of investments. Partner with engineering, operations, and procurement teams to track asset lifecycle, costs, and impairments. Analise administrative cost base of the group advising on optimization and savings opportunities Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations related to fixed assets. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, disclosures, and audit schedules. Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed. Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate asset-related data. Identify and implement process improvements for fixed asset management and reporting. Expertise in GL Accounting and reporting of costs, cost center accounting, budget vs actuals Who we are looking for - 8+ years of experience incl at least 3 years in fixed asset accounting, preferably within the telecommunications, infrastructure, or utilities sectors. Ideally: Experience in undersea cable, fiber-optic networks. Strong knowledge of IFRS and experience with large-scale capital projects. Knowledge of lease accounting (IFRS 16) and regulatory reporting Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills. Experience working with CAPEX projects and asset impairment assessments. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and financial teams. Support, proactively manage and monitor IP services such as IP Transit, Peering, VPN etc from Network Operational Centre Perform analysis and diagnosis on complex networking problems, identify issues and resolve faults. Liaise and task Field Engineers to manage and clear both network and customer faults. Liaise with Upstream Service providers, Peers and Internet Exchanges to ensure efficient operation of IP network. Communicate with other Network Operation Center’s and escalate where necessary both internally and externally in order to meet SLAs Activation of new services onto the network and ensure quality is maintained by testing and ensuring any network changes are recorded and logged onto Configuration databases. Maintain MTTR, RFO and Service reports to the customers as per the KPI. Follow Global work instructions to all laid down procedures and ensure service quality to customers. Handle escalations and be a focal point to all IP service related queries. Participate in Planned works as per schedule. Maintain proper documentation, Case history in service tickets. Additional responsibility to manage DCN setup.
