Financial Controller

Role & responsibilities

• Manage GL accounting and month-end/year-end financial closures.
• Review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reports, P&L analysis, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Independently plan and conduct risk-based internal audits across business functions.
• Identify control gaps, financial risks, and process inefficiencies; recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor internal controls, ICFR/SOX compliance, and closure of audit observations.
• Coordinate with statutory auditors and internal stakeholders for audit requirements.
• Maintain audit documentation, risk-control matrices, and process records.
• Drive process improvements, strengthen governance, and enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with finance, business, and operations teams to resolve issues and implement audit

Preferred candidate profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3

  6 years of post-qualification experience

• Strong hands-on experience in GL accounting, month-end and year-end closures, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience in financial controllership, accounting policies, internal controls, and compliance.
• Practical experience in conducting internal audits, identifying control gaps, and driving audit recommendations to closure.
• Good understanding of risk assessment, internal control frameworks, and ICFR/SOX requirements.
• Knowledge of Ind AS and IFRS, wherever applicable.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems; SAP or Oracle experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
