Job Title: Field Operator – Sponge Iron Unit Location: Raipur, Chhattisgarh Industry: Steel / Sponge Iron Manufacturing Department: Operations / Production Reporting To: Shift In-Charge / Production Manager Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Field Operator to join our Sponge Iron (DRI) unit in Raipur. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in plant operations, preferably in a sponge iron or similar metallurgical process industry. You will be responsible for safe and smooth field operations, routine checks, and coordination with control room operators to ensure optimal plant performance. Key Responsibilities Conduct regular field inspections of the DRI (Direct Reduced Iron) plant, including rotary kiln, cooler, waste heat recovery systems, and associated auxiliaries. Monitor and maintain parameters such as temperature, pressure, and feed rates as per SOPs. Assist in the start-up, shut-down, and emergency handling of plant operations. Coordinate with the control room to implement operational adjustments and report abnormalities. Ensure availability of raw materials like iron ore, coal, and dolomite at designated feed points. Take field readings, log data accurately, and report deviations or equipment issues. Support routine maintenance activities and assist in minor repairs or troubleshooting. Follow all EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) norms and ensure compliance with company policies.
