Katyals Couture is a premium fashion retail brand specializing in elegant ethnic and contemporary Indian wear.
We are looking for a versatile, experienced, and commercially minded professional who can independently manage the retail store, handle customer sales, coordinate custom orders, and oversee garment production.
The candidate will be responsible for managing the complete customer journey, from the first store visit and order placement to production coordination and final delivery.
This is a hands-on position requiring someone who can manage sales, store operations, merchandising, and production coordination.
Key Responsibilities1. Retail Store Management
- Manage the day-to-day operations of Katyals Couture's retail store.
- Ensure the store is organized, clean, and visually appealing.
- Maintain proper product displays, merchandising, and presentation.
- Manage store opening and closing procedures.
- Monitor stock availability, product displays, and replenishment.
- Maintain discipline and professional standards within the store.
- Ensure smooth daily operations and excellent customer experience.
2. Customer Handling & Retail Sales
- Welcome customers and provide personalized shopping assistance.
- Understand customer preferences, budgets, designs, and requirements.
- Recommend suitable outfits, styles, fabrics, and accessories.
- Actively sell products and achieve monthly sales targets.
- Upsell and cross-sell merchandise.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and negotiations professionally.
- Build customer relationships and encourage repeat purchases.
- Manage customer follow-ups through WhatsApp and telephone.
- Maintain customer databases and purchase records.
3. Fashion Merchandising & Customer Orders
- Handle customer orders received through the store, WhatsApp, telephone, and online channels.
- Understand customer requirements for customized garments, alterations, and made-to-order outfits.
- Record customer measurements, design specifications, fabric preferences, and delivery dates.
- Prepare order sheets and maintain an order tracking register.
- Coordinate customer fittings, trials, alterations, and final delivery.
- Ensure every customer order is properly documented and followed through.
- Keep customers informed about order progress and delivery timelines.
4. Production & Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate garment production with tailors, designers, manufacturers, and job workers.
- Communicate designs, measurements, fabrics, and specifications accurately.
- Prepare production instructions and work orders.
- Follow up with production vendors regarding order completion.
- Monitor production timelines and identify delays.
- Coordinate fabric sourcing, embroidery, stitching, finishing, and packaging.
- Ensure production meets customer requirements and delivery commitments.
- Coordinate alterations and corrections wherever necessary.
5. Quality Control
- Inspect finished garments before delivery to customers.
- Check stitching, measurements, finishing, fabric quality, and design accuracy.
- Ensure garments match approved customer specifications.
- Identify defects and coordinate corrections with production vendors.
- Maintain Katyals Couture's quality standards.
- Ensure customers receive properly finished products.
6. Inventory & Merchandise Management
- Monitor store inventory and product availability.
- Maintain records of garments, accessories, sizes, and designs.
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel for stock replenishment.
- Maintain proper tagging, pricing, and stock records.
- Track customer orders separately from available retail inventory.
- Assist in periodic stock verification.
- Identify fast-moving and slow-moving merchandise.
7. Billing & Store Administration
- Handle POS billing, payments, and customer transactions.
- Maintain daily sales records and customer order registers.
- Coordinate with accounts regarding sales, payments, and outstanding balances.
- Ensure customer advances and order payments are properly recorded.
- Maintain records of completed, pending, cancelled, and delivered orders.
- Prepare daily sales and pending order reports.
8. Sales Growth & Customer Retention
- Achieve individual and store sales targets.
- Develop strategies to increase customer conversions.
- Promote new collections and special offers.
- Follow up with prospective customers and pending orders.
- Maintain customer relationships through WhatsApp and telephone.
- Encourage repeat purchases and referrals.
- Support the growth of Katyals Couture's retail and custom-order business.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in fashion retail, merchandising, or garment production.
- Experience in ethnic wear, designer wear, or premium fashion retail preferred.
- Knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, stitching, and measurements.
- Strong customer handling, sales, and negotiation skills.
- Experience coordinating with tailors, manufacturers, and production vendors.
- Knowledge of inventory management, POS billing, and retail operations.
- Good computer skills, particularly Excel and Google Sheets.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- Presentable, confident, proactive, and customer-oriented.
- Ability to independently manage store operations and multiple customer orders.

Important Requirement
The candidate will be expected to take complete ownership of the retail store's daily operations, customer handling, sales performance, merchandising, customer orders, and production coordination.
The candidate must be comfortable working directly with customers, selling fashion products, managing store operations, and coordinating with production vendors simultaneously.
We are looking for a commercially driven, responsible, and hands-on professional who can manage Katyals Couture's retail store and complete customer order-to-delivery process independently.
Pay: ₹11,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
