Fashion Illustrator, Textile Designer

We are hiring a passionate and creative Textile Designer with a strong understanding of women’s ethnic wear. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in developing unique print concepts, patterns, and surface designs that align with traditional and contemporary Indian fashion trends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design exclusive prints, patterns, and motifs for sarees, kurtis, suits, dupattas, and other ethnic wear
• Work on theme-based collections and interpret seasonal trends into textile designs
• Create print layouts, repeats, and placements using design software
• Collaborate with the design and merchandising teams to meet design and production requirements
• Prepare print-ready files and mockups for sampling and production
• Ensure color accuracy and detailing in all designs
• Maintain a digital archive of artwork and completed projects
• Revise designs based on team feedback and sampling results

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or related field
• Portfolio showcasing original textile prints and ethnic design work
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Strong knowledge of traditional Indian motifs, patterns, and embroidery inspirations
• Awareness of current fashion and color trends in the ethnic wear market
• Ability to work independently, manage timelines, and deliver creative outputs consistently

Preferred Skills (Bonus but Not Mandatory):

• Experience in ethnic print development for block printing, screen printing, or digital printing
• Understanding of garment construction and fabric behavior
• Knowledge of regional textile styles like Bandhani, Kalamkari, Bagru, Ikat, etc.
