EC Shed Farm Supervisor – Roles & Responsibilities

1. Shed Operations & Bird Management

• Monitor temperature, humidity, and ventilation inside EC sheds, ensuring parameters meet the flock’s age-specific requirements.
• Operate and maintain environmental control systems (cooling pads, exhaust fans, heaters, sensors).
• Supervise feeding schedules and ensure feed quality and quantity are as per standards.
• Oversee drinking water systems and ensure continuous, clean water supply.
• Record and monitor feed and water consumption daily.

2. Health & Biosecurity

• Implement biosecurity protocols (disinfection, entry restrictions, PPE usage).
• Monitor birds for signs of illness, stress, or abnormal behavior.
• Coordinate with the veterinary team for vaccination, deworming, and treatment schedules.
• Ensure proper mortality collection, recording, and disposal.

3. Record Keeping & Reporting

• Maintain daily production reports: mortality, culls, feed/water usage, body weights, environmental parameters.
• Submit weekly/monthly reports to management.
• Track and manage medication, vaccination, and supplement usage.

4. Team Management

• Supervise shed workers for timely feeding, cleaning, and bird care activities.
• Train staff on safe handling of birds and equipment.
• Allocate and monitor shift duties to ensure round-the-clock care.

5. Hygiene & Maintenance

• Ensure cleaning and disinfection of sheds before and after batches.
• Monitor litter condition and replace or treat when needed.
• Report any equipment faults (fans, sensors, water lines) for immediate repair.

6. Performance & Cost Control

• Work towards achieving FCR (Feed Conversion Ratio) targets.
• Minimize losses through preventive health care and efficient resource use.
• Reduce wastage of feed, water, and electricity.

Job Types: Full-time, Fresher

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
