Product Overview Dataful ( www.dataful.in ) is a subscription-based data product that provides clean, structured, and ready-to-use datasets related to India sourced from relevant public data sources in India. It serves as a comprehensive public data repository, enabling individuals and organizations to access relevant datasets conveniently. Additionally, Dataful offers a diverse collection of High-Frequency Indicators, which are regularly updated, making it an invaluable resource for professionals working with public/government data across various domains. Role Overview We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to spearhead our efforts in driving sales and expanding the subscriber base for Dataful. As the Lead - Business Development, you will be responsible for creating and executing strategic sales plans, establishing strong relationships with potential customers, and promoting the value and benefits of our data product. Your primary focus will be to engage with various stakeholders, such as media, journalists, researchers, universities, consultants, think tanks, and any other professionals interested in public/government data. Responsibilities Develop and Implement Sales Strategies: Create and execute result-driven sales strategies to drive subscription sales, increase revenue, and achieve growth targets for Dataful Lead Generation and Prospecting: Identify and pursue new business opportunities by actively prospecting potential customers, such as media, journalists, researchers, universities, consultants, think tanks, and any other professionals interested in public/government data, both B2B and B2C. Product Knowledge and Demonstration: Become well-versed in the features and benefits of Dataful and effectively demonstrate its value to potential customers through presentations and product walkthroughs. Sales Pipeline Management: Manage the sales pipeline and track progress through CRM tools, providing accurate and timely sales forecasts to the management team. Customer Feedback and Market Insights: Gather customer feedback and market insights to contribute to product improvement and development of new offerings, working closely with the Product Manager. Industry Networking: Attend relevant industry events, webinars, and conferences to represent Dataful and expand the companys presence in the market. Requirements Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Proven experience in sales, preferably in data-related products or the technology industry. Strong understanding of the data industry, particularly in the context of government/public datasets in India. Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively articulate the products value proposition. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain successful customer relationships. Experience with CRM software for sales pipeline management. Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
