Fabrication Shop Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities:

· Execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans to achieve production targets and dispatch schedules.

· Manage power press operations, sheet metal fabrication, bending, MIG/TIG welding, brazing, and component manufacturing.

· Monitor die setting, tooling conditions, component dimensions, and process parameters.

· Maintain ERP entries for production, BOM, routing, material consumption, inventory, and production reporting.

· Monitor work-in-progress (WIP), material shortages, production orders, rejections, rework, and downtime.

· Monitor machine productivity and OEE, and implement actions to reduce cycle time, changeover time, and production losses.

· Ensure product quality as per approved drawings and standards, and control fabrication defects.

· Conduct root-cause analysis and coordinate corrective and preventive actions for recurring quality issues.

· Allocate manpower, monitor operator performance, and ensure adherence to production schedules.

· Coordinate with PPC, Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, Purchase, and Stores for smooth production operations.

· Implement 5S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, SMED, and other continuous improvement initiatives.

· Ensure compliance with safety procedures, standard operating procedures, and workplace discipline.

Authority:

· Allocate manpower and assign production activities according to production priorities.

· Monitor production processes, machine utilization, and ERP transactions.

· Identify and report production bottlenecks, tooling issues, quality defects, and material shortages.

· Recommend corrective actions to improve productivity, quality, and process efficiency.

· Ensure compliance with production standards, safety requirements, and 5S practices.

Accountability:

· Ensure achievement of production targets as per the approved production plan.

· Maintain accurate ERP records for production, material consumption, inventory, and reporting.

· Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and tooling.

· Minimize rejection, rework, downtime, and production losses.

· Ensure product quality and adherence to approved drawings and process standards.

· Maintain shop-floor discipline, safety, and 5S standards.

· Drive continuous improvement in productivity, OEE, and overall fabrication shop performance.

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
