Job Title: Senior PCB Design Engineer – Team Lead & Project Owner Location: Madurai, Tamilnadu Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Level: Senior (15+ years) About the Role: We are looking for a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior PCB Design Engineer to lead the design and execution of high-speed, multilayer PCB projects from concept to production. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong foundation in PCB design and a proven track record in mentoring junior engineers , building high-performing teams , and owning full project lifecycles . The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with the ability to lead technically and operationally within a cross-functional environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end PCB design projects , from requirements definition to manufacturing release and production support. Design and develop complex, high-density, multilayer PCB layouts using tools such as Cadence Allegro and OrCAD Capture CIS . Apply advanced high-speed design techniques, including impedance control , differential pair routing , and signal/power integrity analysis. Drive the adoption of DFM, DFA, and DFT best practices to ensure manufacturability and testability. Generate complete design documentation: schematics , Gerber files , assembly drawings , and CAM outputs . Train, mentor, and lead a team of junior engineers and freshers , providing guidance on design techniques, tools, and best practices. Establish and maintain design standards, review processes, and tool setups for the team. Collaborate closely with hardware, mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams to ensure design alignment and product success. Conduct detailed design reviews and resolve technical challenges throughout the development and production lifecycle. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering . Minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in high-speed, mixed-signal, and analog PCB design. Proven experience in training and mentoring junior engineers and building new design teams . Demonstrated success in managing end-to-end PCB design projects independently. Advanced proficiency with PCB design tools: Cadence Allegro , OrCAD , CAM350 , etc. Strong understanding of signal integrity , power integrity , thermal design , and layer stack-ups . Expertise with via types (through-hole, blind, buried, micro vias) and manufacturing constraints. Familiarity with IPC standards , EMI/EMC guidelines, and industry regulations.
