We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Extension Lead to spearhead the development and strategic growth of our platform's extensions. This role requires a strong leader with a deep technical background, capable of guiding a team through the entire development lifecycle of innovative features and integrations that enhance user experience and expand our product's capabilities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building scalable, high-quality solutions and fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment.Responsibilities include:
  • Define and drive the technical roadmap and strategy for platform extensions, ensuring alignment with overall product goals and business objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, providing technical guidance, fostering professional growth, and ensuring high team morale and productivity.
  • Oversee the full software development lifecycle for extensions, from initial concept and detailed design to development, rigorous testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineering teams to translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications and deliver innovative, user-centric solutions.
  • Ensure the scalability, performance, security, and reliability of all developed extensions through robust architecture and adherence to best practices.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews, implement coding standards, and maintain high standards of code quality, documentation, and maintainability.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks and dependencies, making informed decisions to keep projects on track and within scope.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in extension development, advocating for their adoption where appropriate to enhance our ecosystem.
  • Communicate project status, technical challenges, and successes effectively and transparently to stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Contribute to the hiring process, helping to attract, interview, and onboard talented engineers to grow the team.
