As a Desktop Support Team Lead at DBSI Bangalore, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of 5 desktop support technicians. Your primary duties will include providing hands-on support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals, ensuring prompt and high-quality support for VIP users while maintaining discretion and professionalism. You will be responsible for administering and troubleshooting Windows, MacOS, and Linux systems, as well as monitoring and managing daily operations to ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) are met. Collaboration with cross-functional IT teams for escalations and project implementations will be essential, along with maintaining hardware/software inventory and coordinating procurement activities. Additionally, you will conduct training and development sessions for team members, support audits, compliance checks, and disaster recovery planning. It will also be part of your role to prepare and present regular performance and incident reports to management. To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with a minimum of 6-7 years of experience in desktop support, including at least 2 years in a leadership role. You must have proven experience in supporting VIP users with a high level of confidentiality and responsiveness, as well as strong technical knowledge of Windows, MacOS, and Linux environments. Familiarity with Active Directory, SCCM, and ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow is required. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential, and possession of an ITIL certification or equivalent would be preferred.
