Job Purpose

Responsible for execution and supervision of mechanical projects, including equipment installation, structural fabrication, piping, plant layouts, contractor coordination, material management and project cost control. The role involves ensuring timely project completion in compliance with quality and safety standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Execute greenfield and brownfield mechanical projects, covering installation, commissioning and handover.
• Supervise structural fabrication, erection, machinery installation, equipment alignment, piping and utility connections.
• Prepare and review mechanical layouts, installation drawings, BOQs, material take-offs and technical specifications.
• Handle RFQs, vendor evaluations, quotation comparisons (CSQs) and technical recommendations.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, consultants and internal departments for smooth project execution.
• Monitor project progress, manpower deployment, material consumption, costs and project timelines.
• Ensure quality checks, contractor bill verification and adherence to approved drawings and specifications.
• Maintain project documentation, progress reports, cost records and material registers.
• Ensure compliance with EHS standards, work permits, safety procedures and site requirements.
• Support mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning and final project handover.

Candidate Profile

• Qualification:

  Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

• Experience:

  7-10 years of relevant experience in industrial mechanical projects and site execution.
• Experience in greenfield and brownfield projects is preferred.
• Exposure to chemical, catalyst, specialty chemical or similar process industries will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of structural fabrication, machinery installation, piping, equipment alignment and utility systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel and MS Office.
• Good understanding of project planning, BOQs, vendor coordination, cost control and EHS requirements.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
