Position SummaryWe are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Operations Manager / Executive Housekeeper to oversee the day-to-day operations of our exclusive 19-all-suite boutique property. In this vital dual-leadership role, you will take direct charge of maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and room presentation, while also managing front-of-house/back-of-house operations to ensure seamless, luxury-tier guest experiences. Because of our intimate property size, your leadership will directly shape guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and overall property upkeep.
Key Responsibilities1. Housekeeping & Property Maintenance Oversight (Primary Focus)
- Quality Control: Inspect all 19 suites, public areas, and back-of-house spaces daily to ensure they meet rigorous luxury cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Team Leadership: Hire, train, schedule, and supervise housekeeping staff, laundry attendants, and public area cleaners.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage par levels for linen, terry, guest amenities, cleaning chemicals, and uniform supplies; conduct regular stock audits.
- Deep Cleaning & Maintenance Coordination: Plan and execute periodic deep-cleaning schedules (carpet shampooing, upholstery care, marble polishing) and coordinate routine maintenance with the engineering/maintenance team.
- Lost and Found: Manage the property's lost-and-found protocol with absolute discretion and care.
2. General Property Operations
- Guest Relations: Greet VIP guests, handle special requests, and swiftly resolve any operational or service escalations with a guest-first mindset.
- Cross-Departmental Coordination: Bridge housekeeping, front desk, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth room turnovers, accurate status updates in the property management system (PMS), and flawless check-ins.
- Vendor & Contractor Management: Supervise external vendors (pest control, laundry services, deep-cleaning specialists) to ensure contractual compliance and quality work.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce local health, safety, fire regulations, and sanitation protocols across the entire property.
3. Administration & Cost Control
- Budgeting & Cost Efficiency: Assist management in developing and controlling the housekeeping and operational budgets, minimizing waste without compromising luxury standards.
- Rostering & Payroll: Prepare efficient staff rotas based on occupancy forecasts to optimize labor costs and ensure adequate coverage during peak check-in/checkout windows.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hospitality experience in a supervisory or management role within upscale hotels, luxury resorts, or boutique all-suite properties.
- Proven specialization as an Executive Housekeeper or Rooms Division / Operations Manager.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Immaculate attention to detail and uncompromising standards of cleanliness and luxury presentation.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience training and motivating small to mid-sized teams.
- Familiarity with Property Management Systems (PMS) and basic hotel operations software.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and guest-handling skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays based on operational demands.
