Role Objective To act as the bridge between design, fabrication, and site execution — ensuring that every project moves seamlessly from drawing to delivery. The Project Engineer is responsible for coordinating technical drawings, material readiness, vendor and client communication, and on-site quality and timelines, while ensuring that cost, time, and design parameters are fully met. Key Responsibilities 1. Project Planning & Coordination Study and understand project scope, drawings, and BOQs received from the design or sales team. Prepare detailed project execution schedules and track milestones. Coordinate between design engineers, procurement, fabrication teams and site installation teams. Raise material requisitions in coordination with the central or regional store and track their delivery status. Ensure the project is executed within the approved timeline and cost estimate. 2. Technical & Site Execution Supervise on-site fabrication, installation, and finishing works for aluminium, steel, glass, or automatic systems as per the project specification. Ensure adherence to design intent, structural safety, and quality standards. Liaise with clients, architects, and consultants during site visits and project review meetings. Troubleshoot technical or site-level issues in coordination with the design and production team. Certify completed work for client billing and internal WIP (Work in Progress) updates. 3. Documentation & Reporting Maintain daily site progress reports, photographic documentation, and material consumption records. Ensure all variations, client instructions, and approvals are documented for billing or variation claims. Support project closure documentation — snag list, handover report, and client sign-offs. 4. Cost & Quality Control Monitor wastage, ensure optimal material utilization, and maintain productivity targets. Work closely with the procurement and accounts team to verify vendor/work team bills. Enforce safety standards and ensure worksite compliance with company EHS norms. Maintain alignment with corporate’s CPNR (Completed Payment Not Received) and cash flow goals by ensuring timely billing and site certification. 5. Communication & Leadership Act as the single point of contact for the assigned projects between clients and internal teams. Guide site supervisors, sub-contractors, and work teams to achieve smooth execution. Provide feedback to the design and estimation teams for future project optimization. Participate in weekly regional project review meetings.
