Job Description - Service Engineer Job title Service Engineer Qualification - Diploma or BE/B tech Preferred candidate from Mumbai based location. Language known English & Hindi Job location – Churchgate (Nariman Point) & Visit to client office Experience – 2-3 yrs. The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for meeting the daily service maintenance and repair needs of the customer’s equipment. Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers as well as performing necessary administrative duties as required and other duties as assigned. He should have strong problem-solving skills and background in technology. Skills required Technical background in electronics or instrumentation with affiliation to electronics. Work experience in the field of machinery is preferred. Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electro-mechanical, and/or electronic equipment. Ability to work productively, with multi tasking in minimal supervision & in pressurized environment. Experience troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns. With Strong technical capabilities understanding of tools and technology needed to complete repairs. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Handles sensitive issues and exhibits exemplary customer service to internal and external customers. Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution based service process. Ability to give and receive constructive feedback and appropriate coaching to customer on critical equipment. Proven record of being reliable and accountable for all aspects of their job. Proficient level of computer skills. Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy to understand manner. Strong time management skills. Ability to adapt to changing circumstances. Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills. Roles and Responsibilities: Assess hardware and software malfunctions. Disassemble and reassemble machines to repair or replace worn or malfunctioning components and consumables. Completing Preventative Maintenance and field modifications based on instructions. Basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and repair on designated equipment. Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions. Educate and train customers on use of machine, software and application. Provide excellent customer service, listening carefully to customer concerns and addressing issues until customer is satisfied. Update and maintain assigned machines per manufacturer specifications. Maintain parts inventory, personal library of machine manuals, company-assigned laptop and tools. Attend ongoing training events sponsored by company or machine manufacturers to stay up-to-date on the latest technology and repair options. Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner. Produce timely and detailed service reports Maintaining daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up. Maintaining tools and test equipment and ensuring they are properly calibrated. Identifying and participating in sales opportunities such as new contracts, contract renewals and system sales. Working as a member of the local team to provide efficient service delivery to all accounts within assigned area. The ability to lift and carry a toolbox that can weigh up to 25 kgs. Follow all company’s procedures, protocols, policies and regulations. Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization. Build positive relationships with customers. Travel all India and if required travel on Sunday also.
