Job Title: Electrical - Head (Wind Energy) Location: Theni Experience: 7 - 12 Years Employment Type: Full-time Industry: Renewable Energy (Wind Power) Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Head with deep expertise in electrical engineering to lead all electrical functions for wind energy projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience with electrical systems, and preferably prior exposure to renewable energy projects. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the electrical engineering team for wind projects, ensuring design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems. Oversee electrical systems including transformers, switchgear, generators, converters, SCADA, and control systems. Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and project specifications. Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to optimize system performance. Conduct troubleshooting and fault analysis for complex electrical issues. Collaborate with project management, procurement, and vendors for timely and quality execution of electrical works. Prepare and review technical documentation, reports, and specifications for internal and external stakeholders. Drive continuous improvement in electrical system reliability, efficiency, and performance. Mentor and develop the electrical team to maintain high technical competence. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 7 - 12 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably with experience in wind energy or other renewable energy projects. Strong knowledge of wind turbine electrical systems, power distribution, high-voltage equipment, protection relays, and control systems. Experience in commissioning, operations, and troubleshooting of electrical systems. Proficiency in SCADA, PLCs, and electrical design/diagnostic software tools. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
