ETL Tester (Manual)

Role Overview: You will be a Manual ETL Tester with proficiency in SQL, experience in Power BI report testing, and a strong understanding of SSIS-based ETL processes. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure data quality across intricate data pipelines and business intelligence reports while collaborating with cross-functional teams aligned with UK business hours. Key Responsibilities: - Perform manual testing of ETL workflows, data pipelines, and data transformations. - Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate large datasets across multiple environments. - Validate Power BI dashboards and reports for data accuracy, visualizations, filters, and performance. - Test data integration processes developed using SSIS and verify the correct implementation of business rules. - Conduct source-to-target (S2T) mapping validation and document any discrepancies. - Identify, log, and track defects utilizing tools like JIRA or similar. - Collaborate with data engineers, BI developers, and QA leads to ensure comprehensive test coverage and data integrity. - Participate in the design of test plans and test cases for ETL, reporting, and data validation activities. - Support regression, incremental, and full data load testing cycles. - Coordinate effectively with onshore stakeholders within the UK time zone. Qualification Required: - Proficient in manual testing with a focus on ETL/Data Warehouse projects. - Strong hands-on experience in SQL with the ability to write and optimize complex queries. - Solid knowledge of SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) including packages, workflows, and error handling. - Experience in Power BI report/dashboard validation, encompassing UI and backend data testing. - Good understanding of data quality, data profiling, and ETL validation techniques. - Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Client ALM. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.,
