Estimation & Costing Engineer (Control Panel)

Job Summary

The Costing Engineer for Control Panel is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical control panels based on customer requirements, technical specifications, drawings, and tender documents. The role ensures competitive pricing while maintaining profitability.

Key Responsibilities

1. 1. Cost Estimation & Pricing

- Prepare cost estimation for LT/HT panels, MCC, PCC, APFC, VFD, and DB panels. - Analyze BOQ, SLD, and technical specifications. - Prepare quotations and pricing proposals.

2. 2. Technical Evaluation

- Study drawings and tender documents. - Coordinate with engineering team. - Suggest cost-effective solutions.

3. 3. Vendor Coordination

- Obtain and compare vendor quotations. - Negotiate best prices for components. - Maintain vendor database.

4. 4. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain costing sheets and quotation records. - Prepare cost reports and analysis.

5. 5. Project Support

- Support project execution team in cost tracking. - Assist in value engineering.

Skills Required

- Electrical control panel knowledge - MS Excel proficiency - Analytical & negotiation skills - Knowledge of SLD and electrical drawings

Qualification

Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering

Experience

2–5 years in electrical costing or panel manufacturing preferred
