Job Summary: We are seeking a Symantec DLP (Data Loss Prevention) L2 Resource to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing and troubleshooting Symantec DLP solutions, focusing on incident management, policy creation, system configuration, and ongoing support to ensure the organizations sensitive data is secure and compliant. Key Responsibilities: Incident Management: Monitor and respond to DLP alerts and incidents, ensuring timely identification, escalation, and resolution. Analyze DLP incident reports and provide recommendations for corrective actions. Perform root cause analysis for DLP incidents and work on continuous improvement. Policy Configuration and Management: Configure and manage Symantec DLP policies based on business requirements and security best practices. Review and update DLP policies to ensure they are aligned with organizational security and compliance needs. Customize and fine-tune DLP policy settings to reduce false positives/negatives while ensuring comprehensive protection. System Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the Symantec DLP infrastructure. Ensure DLP components (agents, servers, and policies) are properly maintained, upgraded, and patched. Work on Symantec DLP server installations, upgrades, and patches, ensuring minimal downtime. Reporting and Documentation: Generate regular reports on DLP activity, incidents, and trends for internal stakeholders. Document DLP policies, procedures, and incident resolution steps for knowledge sharing and compliance audits. Policy review on data protection tool work closely with DPOs and CISO assist in writing policies and procedures Suggest Controls Collaboration & Support: Work closely with other IT and security teams to provide guidance and solutions for DLP-related challenges. Provide L2-level support for end-users, answering queries related to data protection policies and incidents. Assist in the design and implementation of new DLP policies and rules to support emerging threats. Security Best Practices & Compliance: Ensure DLP solutions are in line with organizational security policies and industry standards. Assist in audits, ensuring that the DLP system meets regulatory and compliance requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS. Required Skills and Qualifications: Technical Skills: Strong hands-on experience with Symantec Data Loss Prevention (DLP) product, including installation, configuration, and administration. Experience with DLP policy creation, policy tuning, and troubleshooting. Understanding of networking protocols and encryption techniques. Proficiency with Windows/Linux servers, databases, and system security concepts. Knowledge of incident management and escalation procedures. Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Symantec DLP support and administration. Experience with other security tools like SIEM, firewall, antivirus, and encryption products is a plus. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and an ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Symantec DLP or any relevant cybersecurity certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM). Knowledge of other data protection technologies (e.g., encryption, endpoint protection).
