Job Title: Service Engineer – Banking Equipment Job Location: [Specify – e.g., Nagpur / Maharashtra Region] Department: Service & Maintenance Reports To: Service Manager / Technical Head Job Summary: The Service Engineer will be responsible for installation, maintenance, and servicing of banking equipment such as note counting machines, note sorting machines, passbook printers, CCTV systems, and other electronic devices used in bank branches. The role involves ensuring minimum downtime, maintaining service quality, and providing technical support to clients in the banking sector. Key Responsibilities: Installation, testing, and commissioning of banking equipment at client locations. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of machines such as: Note Sorting / Counting Machines Currency Authentication Devices Passbook Printers / Cheque Scanners Cash Deposit Machines (if applicable) Diagnose faults and carry out timely repairs or replacements. Attend service calls and resolve customer complaints promptly. Maintain service logs, call reports, and maintenance records accurately. Ensure periodic calibration and cleaning of machines. Provide technical demonstrations and user training to bank staff. Coordinate with the head office for spare parts and technical updates. Follow company safety, quality, and compliance standards. Travel to various bank branches as per service schedules. Required Skills & Qualifications: Diploma / ITI / B.E. in Electronics, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering. 1–3 years of experience in servicing banking or office automation equipment preferred. Good understanding of electro-mechanical systems and basic electronics. Hands-on troubleshooting and soldering skills. Basic computer knowledge (Windows, MS Office). Strong communication and customer handling skills. Willingness to travel extensively. Additional Preferences: Experience with note sorting / counting machine Knowledge of basic networking for connected banking devices. Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls per day.
