Qualcomm India Private Limited is looking for an adaptable, enthusiastic, and reliable individual to join the BDC BT firmware team in Bangalore. As a member of the team, you will be involved in developing complex new features and maintaining Bluetooth controller firmware for products in the Mobile, IoT, wearable, and hearable businesses. Collaboration with various teams including BT test, host, audio, and application development is an essential part of the role. The team's focus is on developing intricate BT features for the company's Connectivity products in alignment with BT SIG specifications and custom product requirements. This position offers a unique opportunity to work across different engineering disciplines, ranging from higher layer software to low-level hardware. Your responsibilities will include designing and developing standard-defined (BT-SIG) and proprietary features in Bluetooth controller firmware, analyzing and supporting bug fixes throughout the project lifecycle, communicating status/bugs/issues to leads, as well as conducting software and hardware debugging of issues. Working collaboratively with colleagues across different geographies and teams to optimize solutions will also be a part of your role. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Proficiency in C programming and extensive experience in embedded development within the wireless communications domain are essential. Additionally, experience with BT upper or lower stacks, a good understanding of BT controller specifications, knowledge of Radio fundamentals (especially Bluetooth or WiFi), familiarity with Bluetooth sniffer tools, analysis of air traces and logs, usage of embedded debuggers, and work experience with ASIC emulators are desirable.
