As a member of our team at BBY India, you will play a crucial role in contributing to the delivery of complex solutions by breaking down big problems into smaller pieces. Your active participation in team planning activities will help ensure the quality and integrity of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for the team. By identifying opportunities for improvement in how the team works and utilizing recommended tools and practices, you will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of project delivery. Your ability to independently triage complex issues and awareness of the technology landscape will be instrumental in planning the delivery of coarse-grained business needs that span multiple applications. Setting a consistent example of agile development practices and coaching other engineers to collaborate effectively with Product and Experience Design teams will be part of your responsibilities. Moreover, you will be expected to mentor new hires and junior engineers to improve their skills and contribute to the enhancement of internal libraries and tools. Understanding the business supported by your applications, proactively communicating status and issues to your manager, and identifying problems and risks in your work and that of your colleagues will be essential. Collaboration with other teams to find creative solutions to customer issues and demonstrating a commitment to delivery deadlines, particularly those critical to Best Buy's continued success, are also key aspects of this role. Basic Qualifications: - 3+ years of relevant professional experience with a bachelor's degree OR equivalent, including experience with testing tools such as Cypress, WebDriver IO, Appium, Detox, Sauce Labs, Chrome Dev Tools, Page Speed Insights, Lighthouse, Charles Proxy, Jenkins, or GitHub actions - 3+ years of automation and manual testing experience on web and/or mobile applications - Ability to test all application features for web and mobile apps - Understanding of REST APIs and GraphQL as backend data sources and ability to test and validate responses - Ability to create test cases covering all functional scenarios - Ability to assist and triage production issues as needed Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working in an omni-channel retail environment - Excellent communication skills Join us at Best Buy and be part of a team that aims to enrich lives through technology.
