Engineer - BT FW (Platform Audio)

As a member of the BDC BT firmware team at Qualcomm India Private Limited, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining Bluetooth controller firmware for products across various segments like Mobile, IoT, wearable, and hearable businesses. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing and developing audio interface and BSP features for the Qualcomm BT controller IP. - Ensuring optimal KPIs such as latency, robustness, and power for products in different segments. - Developing a deep understanding of the BT protocol, contributing to its development and maintenance. - Analyzing and providing support for bug fixes throughout the project lifecycle. - Communicating status, bugs, and issues to leads. - Conducting software and hardware debug of issues. - Collaborating with colleagues across different geographies and teams to optimize solutions. Qualcomm is looking for individuals with the following qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Electronics or Computer Science from an internationally recognized institution. - 1-4 years of experience in a relevant engineering role. Key qualifications and responsibilities for this role include: - Proficient C programming skills and extensive embedded development experience, preferably in wireless communications. - Solid understanding of serial audio interfaces such as I2S, Slimbus, Soundwire, etc. - Good grasp of processor architecture, including bus interfaces, interrupts, and memory management. - Understanding of electronic hardware and ability to read schematics. - Familiarity with RTOS, serial interfaces, and drivers. - Experience working on BT upper or lower stacks and familiarity with BT controller specifications. - Knowledge of Radio fundamentals, especially Bluetooth or WiFi. - Proficiency in Bluetooth sniffer tools, analysis of air traces and logs, and usage of embedded debuggers. - Experience with ASIC emulators is a plus. - Familiarity with Python scripting is a bonus. - Self-motivated, open-minded, adaptable team player who can take responsibility for deliverables.
