Job Description

Responsible for participating as an individual contributor in project teams, troubleshooting operational issues, providing technical solutions to operational problems, new product implementation, implementing existing products and services and the overall upkeep and maintenance of designated areas of engineering. Interfaces with vendors, engineering and peer operations organizations. Acts in compliance with industry and Company technical requirements, standards, policies and procedures. Provides technical leadership to junior Engineers and project teams. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment. May lead teams or projects and shares expertise. Core Responsibilities Coding and Scripting: Proficiency in programming languages like Python/ Java and scripting languages like JavaScript / Bash / Perl System Administration: Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and Windows Networking: Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and troubleshooting Monitoring and Observability: Skills in using monitoring tools (Datadog) and setting up observability practices Incident Management: Ability to handle and resolve incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures Security: Knowledge of security best practices and tools to ensure system integrity and data protection Employees at all levels are expected to: Cloud Computing: Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and cloud-native applications CI/CD Pipelines: Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment tools and processes Automation: Expertise in automating repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency Education Bachelors Degree While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
