Job Purpose: To ensure uninterrupted operation and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment in the Hot Rolling Mill (HRM), ensuring optimal performance, energy efficiency, and minimal downtime in line with safety and production standards. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine and preventive maintenance of all electrical systems and equipment in the Hot Rolling Mill. Troubleshoot and repair breakdowns in motors, drives, PLCs, switchgears, MCCs, and power distribution panels. Ensure proper functioning of electrical controls for mill stands, shears, cooling beds, and auxiliary systems. Coordinate with production teams to ensure minimum downtime and quick fault resolution. Monitor energy consumption and implement energy-saving measures. Maintain and update electrical drawings, maintenance records, and equipment history logs. Ensure compliance with all electrical safety standards and statutory requirements. Liaise with vendors, OEMs, and contractors for maintenance support and spares procurement. Support automation and control system upgrades (PLC/SCADA-based systems). Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) of major breakdowns and implement corrective actions Required Qualifications & Experience: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering 4–10 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance of Hot Rolling Mills (Long Products / Flat Products) Strong knowledge of HT/LT systems, AC/DC drives (ABB/Siemens), PLC/SCADA systems, and industrial wiring Key Skills: Electrical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance Knowledge of PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley), drives, and automation systems Understanding of electrical safety and statutory norms Strong coordination and communication skills Ability to work in shifts and under pressure Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Benefits: Food provided Paid sick time Paid time off Schedule: Rotational shift Work Location: In person
