Electrical Draughtsman

1. Drafting & Documentation

• Prepare

  2D and 3D drawings

  for electrical systems using AutoCAD/Revit as per project requirements.
• Develop detailed drawings for:
• Lighting layouts
• Power layouts
• Cable routing and tray layouts
• Earthing and lightning protection layouts
• Fire alarm and ELV system layouts
• SLDs, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Update drawings based on engineer markups, design changes, and site feedback.
• Maintain drawing accuracy, layer management, and CAD standards across all deliverables.

2. Coordination & Integration

• Coordinate with

  architectural, structural, HVAC, plumbing, and fire

  teams to ensure drawing compatibility.
• Incorporate builders work details such as:
• Conduits
• Sleeves
• Trench layouts
• Equipment foundation requirements
• Participate in internal coordination meetings to resolve drawing conflicts and ensure multidisciplinary alignment.

3. Quality Control & Standards

• Ensure all drawings comply with:
• Company CAD standards
• Project-specific drafting guidelines
• National and international codes (IS, IEC, NBC, NFPA – as applicable)
• Conduct selfchecks for accuracy, completeness, and consistency before submission.
• Maintain revision control and proper documentation of drawing updates.

4. Project Support

• Assist engineers in preparing

  BOQs

  ,

  material take-offs

  , and

  as-built drawings

  .
• Support preparation of

  tender drawings

  ,

  GFC drawings

  , and

  shop drawing reviews

  .
• Provide drawing support during site execution, including updates based on RFIs and site instructions.
• Maintain organized drawing folders, transmittals, and document logs.

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in

  AutoCAD

  (mandatory).
• Working knowledge of

  Revit MEP

  (preferred).
• Understanding of electrical systems such as lighting, power, earthing, ELV, and fire alarm.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, SLDs, and technical documents.
• Familiarity with drafting standards, symbols, and conventions.

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail and high accuracy in drafting.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple drawings simultaneously.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma / ITI in Electrical Engineering or Draftsmanship.
• 8–10 years of experience in electrical drafting for buildings, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience in consultancy or EPC environments is an advantage.
