With a strong mission to reduce E-waste and promote environmentally responsible repair ecosystems, EDIO aims to become a leading force in India’s electronic sustainability movement Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Embedded Engineer position based in Karur . The Embedded Engineer will work on designing, developing, and debugging embedded systems, diagnostic tools, repair-tech instruments, and IoT-enabled testing devices for consumer electronics. The role involves firmware development, diagnostics tool development, integrating hardware–software systems, enabling IoT/OTA connectivity, and working closely with the R&D and technician teams to create advanced repair solutions. The candidate will participate in technical discussions, propose improvements, and ensure all solutions meet EDIO’s product standards and innovation goals. Qualifications  Proficiency in Embedded C/C++ programming and microcontroller debugging. Experience with ESP32, STM32, PIC, or similar microcontroller platforms . Strong understanding of electronics circuits, sensors, hardware interfaces (UART, I2C, SPI, GPIO) . Practical experience with IoT technologies , OTA updates, MQTT/REST APIs is a plus. Experience or interest in diagnostic tools, repair-tech devices, and automated test jigs . Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. Ability to work full-time on-site in Karur and collaborate with the R&D and technician teams. Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or related fields. Prior experience in electronic refurbishment, service centers, or E-waste management is an added advantage.
