This role involves managing inventory, coordinating deliveries, ensuring timely dispatch, and maintaining efficient warehouse systems. The ideal candidate is proactive, well-organized, and capable of building efficient operational processes from the ground up. Key Responsibilities 1. Daily Warehouse Operations Supervise the receipt, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods. Maintain an organized and optimized warehouse layout for better space utilization. Ensure quality and accuracy in all incoming and outgoing shipments. Coordinate deliveries and logistics with drivers or courier partners. 2. Inventory Management Maintain precise and up-to-date inventory records using spreadsheets or software. Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile any discrepancies. Implement stock control processes such as FIFO, labeling, and reorder points. Collaborate with purchasing and retail teams to forecast inventory needs. 3. Process Setup & Improvement Design and implement efficient warehouse workflows and processes. Recommend systems or tools (e.g., barcode scanners, WMS) to enhance efficiency. Continuously improve product placement and process flow for accuracy and speed. 4. Team Management (Small Team) Supervise and guide a small team of warehouse staff or contract labor. Provide training on safe handling, packing, and order fulfillment procedures. Promote a positive, safety-first culture within the warehouse. 5. Safety & Maintenance Ensure the warehouse complies with all safety and cleanliness standards. Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working condition. Oversee waste management and recycling per company policies. 6. Coordination & Reporting Work closely with purchasing and retail teams to align stock with demand. Provide regular updates on inventory status, dispatch performance, and issues. Track key KPIs such as stock accuracy, order turnaround, and delivery reliability. Qualifications & Skills Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred. Equivalent practical experience may also be considered. Experience: 3–5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or inventory management (preferably in retail, hardware, or home improvement). Experience in startup or small business environments is highly desirable. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets. Familiarity with inventory management or POS systems. Basic understanding of warehouse management and stock control principles. Soft Skills: Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-growing environment. The ideal candidate has a strong background in retail warehouse operations , understands WMS systems , and can build scalable, efficient processes to support a fast-growing retail business. Key Responsibilities1. Daily Warehouse Operations Supervise end-to-end warehouse activities — receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch. Maintain an organized, space-optimized warehouse layout aligned with retail stock movement. Ensure accuracy, quality, and timeliness in all inbound and outbound shipments. Coordinate deliveries to retail stores, distributors, and online customers. 2. Inventory & WMS Management Maintain accurate, real-time inventory data through Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and/or POS software. Continuously analyze operations and suggest improvements in product placement, workflow, and picking accuracy. 4. Team Management Lead and mentor a small team of warehouse and logistics staff. Train team members in retail-focused inventory handling, packing, and dispatch processes. Foster a performance-driven, safety-first culture across all warehouse activities. 5. Safety, Maintenance & Compliance Ensure compliance with all warehouse safety and hygiene standards. Oversee maintenance of warehouse equipment, vehicles, and tools. Implement effective waste management and recycling practices. 6. Coordination & Reporting Coordinate closely with retail, procurement, and sales teams to align inventory with demand. Provide management with regular reports on stock levels, order fulfillment, and operational KPIs. Track and report key warehouse metrics including accuracy, dispatch time, and space utilization.
