We are looking for an Energy Efficiency Engineer with energy auditing experience to join our team. EcoMetric is focused on constructive research to influence energy consumption & behaviors. We provide inspired, forward-thinking advisory services to inform demand-side management decision making. Our core services include energy efficiency design, planning and implementation solutions for utilities, businesses and industries. Relocation will be required if you do not currently live in Pune. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Calculating & verifying energy savings using engineering estimates, temperature bin analysis, statistical techniques, motor, lighting and HVAC calculators for various energy efficiency projects. · Possess knowledge of lighting, HVAC, pumps and motors, Variable Frequency Drives, air compressors and other major energy consuming components present in a residential, commercial and industrial setting. · Maintaining an advanced proficiency of energy efficiency measures applicable in residences, commercial buildings and industries. · Analyze utility and energy efficiency program data utilizing Excel and other analytical software, identifying trends, summarizing program events, and identifying causal impacts on program results. · Utilizing and applying statistical, economic and financial analysis tools in support of business and policy analysis for demand-side management in the energy and utilities industry. QUALIFICATIONS · 1-3 years of experience in energy efficiency audits, calculating savings for ECMs, and calculating return on energy efficiency investments. 1-3 years of experience developing Excel calculators to estimate or verify energy and peak demand savings. · Bachelors or Master’s degree in Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Systems or similar engineering degree track. · Relevant coursework such as Energy Audit Management, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Energy Efficient Systems, Power Systems, Motors and Pumps is preferred. · Excellent English writing, speaking, and communication skills. Fluency in writing and speaking English will be tested. · Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet software; additional software and programming abilities are a plus. · Knowledge or interest in pursuing a career in energy efficiency or the building efficiency industry. Research Analysts are expected to conduct primary and secondary research on behalf of EcoMetric’s energy clients (primarily utilities and administrators of energy efficiency programs). Research Analysts will be responsible for executing market research and analysis and creating written reports on the findings. Research Analysts conduct thoughtful research and analysis using both qualitative and quantitative research methods. Analyze collected survey data using Excel or other analytical software to identify trends, summarize research findings and reach meaningful conclusions and recommendations for client consideration. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and provide technical input on projects. Assist with project management activities, project coordination, and budget tracking. Support technical assistance requests and providing customer service to EcoMetric clients and other stakeholders. Develop clear, concise reports, and present results, and findings, and actionable recommendations to clients. Qualifications Undergraduate degree in business, the social sciences, environmental studies, economics, or a related field and 5+ years of work experience. Proficiency with MS Office applications, including advanced Excel skills. Experience conducting social science research and primary data collection. Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
