Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop concept,2D/3D BIW fixtures (Manual, Robotic, Geo, Re-spot, Handling, Checking, trolleys) Using Catia V5 / NX(GM tool kit, Daimler tool kit , SLE Run and SLE Attributes ) . Ensure fixture designs meet OEM standards requirements . Integrate SPOT and MIG welding requirements into fixture design (gun access, torch orientation, spatter protection, distortion control). Release detailed drawings, BOM, and GD&T as per standards. Collaborate with simulation, manufacturing, and process teams for feasibility and optimization. Conduct design reviews with customer teams and address feedback promptly. Coordinate with customers (Daimler and other OEMs) for design approvals, standards compliance, and issue resolution . Required Skills & Competencies:- Strong knowledge of BIW fixture design principles and locating methods. Proficiency in Catia V5 / NX (mandatory). Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and design for manufacturing/assembly . Exposure to OEM standards (Daimler, VW, GM, JLR, Tata, Mahindra, etc.) . Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross-functional teams. 5-9+Years of relevant experience is required. Salaries are negotiable depending on experience. Bachelors in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering is preferred.
